ALL STEEL ROOFING SYSTEMS begins life as 0.533mm or 26 gauge (0.021" thick) galvanized steel. Zinc plus epoxy coatings are applied to both sides. Then facing up to the elements is a baked on 4 mil P.V.C. coating.

ALL STEEL ROOFING SYSTEMS is the ultimate solution to the world of roof replacement or new roof construction.

Once in place you have a smooth textured, maintenance free roof, which offers superior strength, making it a lasting value.

System Description

ALL STEEL ROOFING SYSTEMS consist of overlapping panels complete with accessory items such as starter flashings, trim for valleys, walls, gables, ridges, hips, hip end clips, decorative clips, snow guards, roof vents, screws and sealants.

Range of application: on wood and metal sloped roofs and to mansard applications in commercial, institutional, industrial and residential construction; also used for roof replacement application and for roof recovering over asphalt shingles (2 existing layers maximum).

Contractor Qualifications

The roofing contractor shall be, during the bidding period as well as during installation, officially recognized as an approved contractor of ALL STEEL ROOFING SYSTEMS. Roofing work shall be performed only by skilled applicators employed by a company operating all adequate and necessary equipment to execute such work.

Delivery, Storage and Handling

Deliver and store materials on pallets, under cover to prevent damage. Handle tiles carefully to avoid damage to the surface finish. Rubber soled shoes or tennis shoes must be worn when waling on tiles to avoid damage to the surface.

Site Conditions

Slope limitations: Minimum recommended slope: 1:4 (3 in 12) or 150 up to vertical mansard roof. If roofing application is a retrofit (re-roof), comply with local building codes to determine if existing roofing must be removed. ALL STEEL ROOFING SYSTEMS is not to be installed over more than two existing layers. Ridge and hip caps need not be removed.

Standards and Approvals

The following approvals apply:

  • National Research Council (CCMC) Approval Number 10724R, Division 07323.
  • Underwriters’ Laboratories of Canada (ULC) when applied in accordance with instructions, under Fire Test Class “A”, “B”, “C”, U.L. 790 to ASTM E108, Uniform Building Code Standard 327.
  • Class “A” & “B” Fire Retardant Roof Rating, over existing asphalt roof shingles in accordance with instructions.
  • Weather Resistance (QUV) Test to ASTM G53
  • Weather Security – High Speed Dynamic Rain Penetration and High Wind Research Laboratories Inc., Miami Florida, U.S.A.
  • Huricane, Cyclone Wind Resistance tested in conformance with Dade County Building Code, Wind driven rain in excess of 250 km/h (160 mph), Construction Research Laboratories Inc., Miami Florida, U.S.A.
  • Underwriters’ Laboratory Inc. (ULI) when applied in accordance with instructions under Fire Test Class “A”, “B”, “C”, U.L. 790 to ASTM E108, Uniform Building Code Standard 327.
  • Considerable energy savings as per Thermal Evaluation by Ontario Research Foundation, Canada.
